Kate Jo is a practicing artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally. She was a recipient of a full stipend award as Artist-in-residence at Can Serrat International Art Centre in Barcelona, Spain. Her time is divided between her podcasting business, Beautifully Equipped, and her arts practice – the latter of which includes photography, videography and, audio installations.
Kate was a founding member of a non-profit artists’ collective, called “volume”, in Glasgow and held the position of Group Representative. She has been invited as a visiting lecturer at Beijing Normal University in China; Glasgow School of Art in Scotland; Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana; and as a guest speaker at the Glasgow Art Fair in Scotland.
She often works in collaboration with Vaughan Judge. Their most recent project was as Co-Photographers and Co-Artistic Directors, on the recently published book “Collins Ultimate Navigation Guide”.
